No more paper, no more pen
No more river, no more king
No more darling, no more lover
No more of exactly the same thing
This isn't poetry, this isn't witticism
This isn't lyricism, it’s just plagiarism
No more nouns, no more verbs
Enough of these, the plural scourge
All of these things are just like the other ones
All of these things are exactly the same
Once alive, now a lie in light of this
All the words I've had to miss
Bark and bite, full of flight and light as piss
Nothing left to show for it
Meanwhile I stand and bide my time to lift
My head held high to catch a glimpse
Of what it’s like, now alive in light of this
No more lies I'm sick of it
Once alive, now a lie in light of this misplaced loyalty
Once a lie, now alive in light of this cunning treachery
Everything about this album is incredible, by far their deepest and most emotional release to date, that was influenced by their trip to Japan, and documented in the companion book. The album was recorded everywhere from forests to studios to busy intersections. Another brilliant release from this completely underrated Sydney duo. Leslie Bowden
Terrific, marauding post-punk that will thrill fans of Idles with its pairing of cutting riffs and wry spoken/sung lyrics. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2022
